
When I tried to remove the hood, the fastener broke.

The same thing happened on the passenger side.

Replace it with a new one immediately! The genuine part# is MB064100.

First, remove the wiper motor cover and the panel inside the window.

Insects had died inside the removed cover…

The inside of the panel looks like this. You can see the wiper motor and the rod that connects the two wipers.

It is held in place by a 10mm nut, so loosen it and remove it.

I didn’t remove it when I painted it, so it’s rusty.

The new one feels clicky and feels good.

Now that I’ve opened it, let’s keep it clean.
Replace the other side in the same way, put it back together, and done!
