When the cam chain stretches, it makes the noise from the engine.
The original auto cam chain tensioner on the TDM900 is so fragile, so it is unable to tension the cam chain when it came loose. In the case of the genuine tensioner, there is no choice but to replace it with a countermeasure product. but since mine has been replaced with a manual tensioner, I would like to adjust it this time.
First loosen the lock nut and remove the bolt.
Then, with the engine running, adjust the tension by turning the screw at the end of this hole with a small flathead screwdriver. Tightening it clockwise increases the tension, loosening it decreases it.
If the tension is too high, it will put a strain on the chain, so adjust it little by little until the noise stops.
Continuing to drive the engine with the abnormal noise will cause the wrong valve timing and serious damage to the engine.
If there is an abnormal noise, perform maintenance ASAP.

This tensioner replaces the original auto tensioner’s cap with a bolt and nut to hold down the minus screw inside the tensioner to prevent it from coming back.
