I ran some winding roads in Fukushima.
First, I ran National Highway 349 from Yamatsuri to Nagura. It was about 16km, but the road was widening and narrowing, or there were drifts of fallen cedar leaves and the pavement was rough in places. The situation was changing every moment. I really don’t like wet fallen leaves on hairpin curves.
And this, well paved non-stop 10km winding road, Fukushima Pref. Road 27 Hanawa-Otsuko Line. It is about 10.6km to Kawakami-Nakadaira in Fukushima.
There is no signal for the entire 10km. I feel that most of mountain roads in Fukushima are very beautifully maintained. Is it because of the earthquake reconstruction budget?
Anyway, that was really good road.
