I tried to overhaul the carburetor of DR250.

First of all, remove the seat and fuel tank. Then remove the carburetor body.

This is the removed one. It’s pretty dirty.

Loosen the two screws that stop the float chamber.

Loosen the fixing screw of the throttle stop screw.

Remove the float.

Remove the main jet,

and the slow jet.

Check the opening of the pilot screw and remove it.

Blow the dust with an air gun.

Assemble in reverse order.

Then open the top of the carburetor, and also blow the dust with an air gun..

I set the clip position of the jet needle from the 2nd to the 3rd to make the setting richer.

Assemble and reinstall it.

Check the play amount of the accelerator wire when installation, and check again with the handle turned.

It became very good condition!

did moving the needle from 2 to 3 give you an more power?
have you discovered and other modifications to increase power?
Can you see and model number on your Supertrapp exhaust please?
I searched their site but it doesn’t have the same one as yours.

I haven’t changed the needle, yet.
Depending on the setting, I think that the power will definitely increase.
Even now, the feeling is better than normal (but with the baffle attached. Without the baffle, the low-speed torque was reduced).
