Serpentine Belt Replacement

with No Comments

The serpentine belt started to squeal so I would like to replace it.

I chose BANDO’s Automotive V-Belt Silver S RAF 3415.

First, loosen the fixing bolt on the top of the alternator.

Then shift the alternator with a crowbar. But it doesn’t seem to work.

Remove some parts for easy work.

Not moving at all.

The bottom bolt is completely stuck.

Then unfortunately, the alternator moved to opposite way and will not return.

I gave up my work and decided to leave it to a professional.

It’s really tough even for the professional.

Finally it moved!

Comparison of old and new. The old ones was worn out and got thinner.

Installing the new one.

Shift the alternator and tension the belt.

Tighten the bolt and the replacement is complete!
