It is about 18km from Itozawa, Minamiaizu Town to Takatsue Ski Resort.

Although the road becomes narrow in places, it is generally wide and very easy to drive, but the steering is taken at places where grooving continues along the way. This vertical grooving is nothing but harassment for motorcycle riders :{

The length of the snowshed gives an indication of the snow depth in the area.

There was a ski resort right in front of the roadside station Hinoemada. The ski slopes just off the road were a very refreshing sight.
